The first Angelika Film Center opened in the trendy Soho district of New York City back in 1989. I’ve been to both Angelika theaters in the DFW area and these are first-rate movie experiences. The setting makes me calm and the films are often artistic. I don’t know what I’d do without an Angelika theater nearby. If more people went to these theaters and less went to Cinemark, I think this world would be a far better place.
