Coca Cola Coupons

Ask any of my friends about me, and they’ll tell you the same thing: I’m absolutely nuts about Coca-Cola. The refreshing soft drink has long been a passion of mine, and I drink it every chance I get. Admittedly, it’s probably not the best thing I could be putting in my body–which my gut can attest to–but it’s not the worst, either.

I usually buy the single plastic bottles when I’m at the convenience store, but I’ll take home an occasional 12-pack and store them in the refrigerator. When I sit down for a movie or two, there’s no better way to quench my thirst.

But despite my obsession with Coke, I’m not above saving a little money when possible. That’s why I’ve put together this article about Coca Cola coupons.

Coca-Cola History

Sold in over 200 countries around the globe, Coca-Cola is easily the world’s most popular carbonated beverage. With its distinctive taste and eye-catching red and white logo, it’s immediately recognizable to people of all nationalities.

Originally invented by John Pemberton in the late 19th century, Coca Cola was intended as a patent medicine and sold for five cents per glass at soda fountains. It was also touted as being able to cure such ailments as headaches, dyspepsia, morphine addiction, and even impotence.

But Coca-Cola really took off when it was purchased by Asa Griggs Candler, a businessman with a keen understanding of marketing. It dominated the soft drink market throughout the 20th century, and it shows no signs of slowing down into the 21st century. As of this writing, the Coca-Cola Company of Atlanta, Georgia produces the following beverages:

If you’re looking for online, printable coupons for Coca-Cola, you won’t have to look very hard. Even though they’re the industry leader, Coke loves to entice new customers with frequent deals and discounts. The same can be said for their presence in your local newspaper, as almost any Sunday edition will include inserts from local supermarkets with all kinds of discounts on Coca-Cola products.

While the Official Coke website doesn’t offer printable coupons, they do offer a number of ways to save money or win prizes. As of this writing, here are a few options:

My Coke Rewards – To take advantage of My Coke Rewards, the first thing you’ll need to do is purchase one of the many fine products offered by Coca-Cola. If it’s a single bottle, try looking under the cap. With 12-packs, check the inside tear-off. In either case, you’ll find a code. Next, head over to the official Coke website, become a member, and then enter the code. Each time you buy a Coca-Cola product and enter the appropriate code, you’ll receive points that can later be redeemed for cool items (or used to enter special sweepstakes). A few of these items include:

Sweepstakes – If you’re willing to spend a few of your My Coke rewards points, you can enter a number of sweepstakes on their website. Here are few that are currently available:

Is it true they used to put cocaine in Coca-Cola? When would that have been…like the Sixties? I want to know because I’m writing a paper for my marketing class.

Lacie,

Coca-Cola still uses coca leaves to make their product, and they have to get special permission from the U.S. goverment to import them from South America. As for cocaine, trace amounts were included way back before the 1960s (several decades before, in fact).
