Printable Mountain Dew Coupons Online in 2011 and 2012
Mountain Dew is surprisingly popular in the United States, ranking as the #4 soft drink on the market (behind only Coke, Diet Coke, and Pepsi). That means consumers searching for Mountain Dew coupons won’t have to look far, even if they prefer the online, printable variety.
I haven’t tried Mountain Dew in years, but I have a number of fond childhood memories revolving around the product (back when it was still available in bottles). Before I was obsessed with Coca-Cola, I loved to “do the Dew,” and I still remember a giant washtub filled with vintage soft drink bottles out behind my grandparent’s house. There were plenty of Mountain Dew containers there, although they featured a grinning hillbilly in place of today’s familiar logo.

Now owned by PepsiCo, Mountain Dew was invented in the 1940s by two brothers from Tennessee, Ally and Barney Hartman. They named the drink after a slang term for moonshine, and their success in the Southern states led Pepsi to acquire the brand in 1964. Popularity has been on the rise ever since, and Mountain Dew owns a whopping eighty-percent of the citrus soft drink market (despite urban legends that it leads to shrunken testicles or a smaller penis).
And just in case you’re wondering what gives Mountain Dew its distinctive taste, I’ve got two words for you: orange juice. Yes, concentrated orange juice is the key ingredient for achieving that tangy flavor.
Mountain Dew Products
If you’re going to clip some Mountain Dew coupons, be aware that the product is far more diverse than it used to be. While the classic flavor is still around, it’s been joined by a whole host of beverages meant to appeal to the younger crowd looking for a quick blast of energy. Currently, these are the Mountain Dew products being offered in stores across the United States:
- Mountain Dew (1948)
- Caffeine-Free Mountain Dew (1976)
- Diet Mountain Dew (1988)
- Caffeine-Free Diet Mountain Dew (1989)
- Mountain Dew Code Red (2001)
- Diet Mountain Dew Code Red (2002)
- Mountain Dew LiveWire (2003)
- Mountain Dew Pitch Black (2011)
- Mountain Dew Baja Blast (2004)
- Mountain Dew Supernova (2011)
- Mountain Dew Voltage (2008)
- Mountain Dew Throwback (2009)
- Mountain Dew Cherry Fusion (2009)
- Mountain Dew White Out (2010)
- Mountain Dew Typhoon (2011)
- Diet Mountain Dew Supernova (2011)
- Mountain Dew X-treme (2010)
- Mountain Dew Grape (2011)
- Mountain Dew Blue Shock (2001)
- Mountain Dew Blue Shock Freeze (2008)
- Mountain Dew Thin Ice Freeze (2009)
- Mountain Dew Energy (2010)
A number of Mountain Dew flavors have been released over the years, but those listed above are the only ones currently available. Personally, I’m expecting additional Mountain Dew products to hit the market in 2011 or 2012.
I’ve never tried anything but the classic flavor, although I should probably live on the edge a bit more. After all, if extreme sports guys are so hyped about Mountain Dew and Code Red, then maybe I can recapture a little of my youth by following suite.

Printable Mountain Dew Pitch Black Coupons
I like online, printable coupons as much as the next guy, but tracking them down can be a real hassle. First of all, many of the sites that rank high in search engines for the phrase “Mountain Dew coupons” don’t deliver on their promise. Instead, you’ll find yourself looking at something completely off-topic and possibly getting attacked by a Trojan virus in the meantime.
If you insist on getting Mountain Dew coupons online, the safest and most reliable place to start is at the product’s official website. Numerous deals will be offered throughout the course of the year, and an incentive program allows you to collect points when you buy Mountain Dew and later redeem them for prizes.
You might feel a little old-fashioned reading the newspaper in 2012, but you’ll be glad you did when it comes time to save some money. That’s because the end-of-the-week issue is stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey, and you can spend half the afternoon just sorting through all the coupons.
Expect Mountain Dew to be represented each week in the Sunday paper, as competitors such as Mello Yello, Sun Drop, and Vault are always looking to gain ground. In order to keep their customer base, Mountain Dew has to do the same, and you’ll wind up saving money because of it.

The following is the nutritional information found on the side of an 8 oz. container of Mountain Dew. In case you’re wondering, it has more calories than soft drinks such as Coke, Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper.

- Total Carbohydrates – 31g

Mountain Dew Slogans
Modern consumers will certainly recognize “Do the Dew” as the brand’s slogan, but Mountain Dew has used a number of other saying over the years. The early ones are particularly bizarre, with lot of references to sunshine, innards, and going barefoot.
- “Ya-hoo Mountain Dew… It’ll tickle your innards” (1965)
- “Get that barefoot feelin’ drinkin’ Mountain Dew” (1969)
- “Put a little ya-hoo in your life” (1973)
- “Hello sunshine, hello Mountain Dew” (1974)
- “Reach for the sun, reach for Mountain Dew” (1979)
- “Give me a Dew” (1981)
- “Dew it to it” (1983)
- “Dew it country cool.” (1986)
- “Get vertical” (1992)
- “Do the Dew” (1995)

The final slogan on the list has been their most successful, and it’s become synonymous with the product after more than 15 years of commercials and marketing campaigns. Frankly, I’ll take any slogan that doesn’t mention the bare feet of a mountain man.
Give Mountain Dew a Try
Since the beverage comes in all kinds of flavors, it would be foolish not to grab some Mountain Dew coupons (printable coupons work fine, too) and give the nation’s fourth most popular soft drink a try. You’ll get a major jolt of caffeine, a tangy citrus flavor, and the satisfaction of knowing that your money is going towards helping fun-loving hillbillies across the country.

Pusser Mumford
It’s just a shame they have to sponsor Dale Earnhardt Jr. According to Mountain Dew spokesman George Cox, “Dale is the embodiment of the person we’re trying to target with Diet Dew.” What’s up with that? I guess we can say it’s just Diet Dew. I have to admit, though, I like those big 1-liter bottles of real Mountain Dew. They’ll keep a man going through the fire and flames.
