Walmart’s huge purchasing power and massive network of stores and distributors means that finding sales and deals at Walmart stores is even easier than at other department stores.
In fact, Walmart has made a name for itself by offering “everyday low prices”, meaning you don’t have to have a coupon or take part in a promotion to save money. That being said, there are coupons and deals you can find online to help save money on your next DVD, Bluray, or electronics purchase at Walmart.

2011 Walmart Coupons for Electronics and More
Walmart is all about helping their customers save money. Part of their website is dedicated to daily coupon deals, called “In Stores Now”. These coupons are good for items that Walmart has in stock right now, and these deals change all the time. As an example of these In Stores Now deals, Walmart has coupons right now for items from Kleenex, Hasbro, Brita, and other big name manufacturers. These coupons range from small amounts of money off purchases (a quarter or two) all the way up to “buy one get one free” type deals.
A good way to keep up with coupons and promotional deals at Walmart is to check out sites like DealCatcher that exist to host and distribute printable coupons and promotional codes for various retailers. DealCatcher’s Walmart page is updated regularly with new deals on Walmart purchases. Right now, Walmart is offering nearly $20 off select video game bundles, low prices on select furniture items, two-for-one toy sales, and other promotions that can save you a good deal of money. Other third-party coupon sites to check for Walmart deals are CouponDad, RetailMeNot, and 8coupons. The sales and coupons you find at these sites are usually only offered for a limited time, so check back regularly for new offers.
Other Ways to Save at Walmart in 2011
Not every discount or deal at Walmart comes in the form of a coupon. There’s lots of other ways to save on Walmart purchases.
Clearance sales and “roll back” prices are really common at Walmart. These special sales are only available at individual Walmart stores and depend entirely on the management team of your local Walmart store and what items they’re trying to move through the store. Clearance sales are especially valuable in the toys and games department, where trends move quickly, and holiday seasons have a huge impact on back stock and sale prices. (I’ve seen a lot of really cheap DVDs at Walmart too.)
For example, Walmart often sells display items of all varieties for deep discounts. These items may be slightly damaged, scratched from the wear and tear of display, or simply listed as “used” since they were opened and displayed in store. You have to check with your local Walmart to see if any display items are on sale–chances are, you’ll find a dozen or so different display items on sale at Walmart every time you visit.
Walmart sells a little bit of everything, from children’s toys to clothes, food, hardware, and even banking services and other convenience items. Saving money at Walmart is usually just a matter of shopping their discounted items or shopping during a promotional sale, but if you have a few online coupons or promo codes in your pocket you can walk away with a few more bucks in your wallet.
