25 Good Movies Featuring the Cast of Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious Basterds hits theaters this Friday, and it’s bound to cause a stir with the global fanboy community. After all, we’re talking about a World War II movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, the man behind such violent stories as Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. How could it not be a bloody good time?

Brad Pitt Movies

One of the biggest stars on the planet, Brad Pitt stars as Lt. Aldo Raines in the upcoming Inglourious Basterds movie. In addition, you might find these Brad Pitt movies to be of interest.

1. Twelve Monkeys – Bruce Willis travels back in time to save the human race from a deadly virus. When he arrives in the present day, he meets Jeffrey Goines (Pitt), a rich kook who may have set the deadly plague loose in the first place. Pitt was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the over-the-top role.
2. Snatch – Pitt stars as Mickey, a barely intelligible gypsy with a talent for boxing in the second crime film from director Guy Ritchie. Jason Statham is also along for the ride, naturally.
3. Babel – Brad Pitt plays the husband of Susan Jones, an American accidentally shot while vacationing in Morocco. Following the incident, the story bounces among numerous characters around the world, all somehow linked to the gun involved in the shooting.
4. True Romance – Before he was a star, Pitt appeared in this film written by Quentin Tarantino. He’s plays Floyd, a stoner who gets his kicks through a Honey Bear bong. Small part but absolutely hilarious. Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette star, and Val Kilmer puts in an appearance as Elvis.
5. Kalifornia – David Duchovny plays a writer putting together a book about serial killers. As he travels across the country doing research, he crosses paths with Early Grayce (Brad Pitt), a southern-fried serial killer with an emotionally stunted girlfriend (Juliette Lewis).

Eli Roth Movies

In Inglourious Basterds, Roth plays a Nazi-killing soldier and also directs a German propaganda movie-within-a-movie. Whether he’s acting or directing, you might want to check out these bloody Eli Roth movies.

6. Grindhouse – Roth directs a faux movie trailer and puts in a brief appearance as a bar patron in this Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino tribute to grindhouse cinema.
7. Hostel – The film for which the term “torture porn” was invented, Hostel tells the story of a group of young Americans abducted and killed off by deranged men of affluence. Roth directs.
8. Cabin Fever – A group of twenty-somethings head to a cabin in the woods for a little fun. Unfortunately, there’s a flesh-eating virus on the loose. Roth directs and also puts in an appearance as Grimm (his skating name) the stoner.
9. Hostel: Part II – This time around, it’s a group of American girls being terrorized. Roth once again slides into the director’s chair.
10. 2001 Maniacs – A group of handsome youngsters come across a town filled with a collection of bizarre Southerners. What they don’t realize until it’s too late is that these yokels are of the murderous variety. Roth serves as producer and makes a cameo as an unfortunate hitchhiker.

Mike Myers Movies

Mike Myers has provided the voice for Shrek and brought such memorable characters as Austin Powers and Wayne Campbell to the big screen. He’s plays an aging British officer in Inglourious Basterds, but you may want to take a look at these other Mike Myers films.

11. Wayne’s World – Wayne Campbell and buddy Garth (Dana Carvey) host a cable access show which draws the attention of a slimy exec (Rob Lowe). Can the boys resist selling out while still finding time to romance Tia Carrera and lip synch to Queen?
12. So I Married An Axe Murderer – Charlie (Myers) is a poet with a fear of commitment, but that all changes when he meets a beautiful butcher named Harriet (Nancy Travis). But as their relationship progresses, he starts to fear that his future bride may be a serial killer. It’s a comedy, by the way.
13. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery – A swinging British spy with awful teeth is unfrozen to once again fight against the sinister Dr. Evil (Myers in dual roles). Inventive parody of the James Bond franchise.
14. Shrek – The animated adventures of a swamp-dwelling ogre and his donkey sidekick. A monster hit with plenty of celebrity voices.
15. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me – In the second film of the series, Dr. Evil devises a plan to travel back in time and steal the “mojo” of Austin Powers. Mini Me and Fat Bastard are also introduced.

Diane Kruger Movies

Diane Kruger is a German-born beauty who started as a model and eventually transitioned into acting. In Inglourious Basterds, she plays a German actress who is actually a double agent for the Allied Forces. If you’re looking for some good films, check out these other Diane Kruger movies.

Til Schweiger Movies

Til Schweiger is a German producer, director and actor. In Inglourious Basterds, he plays a German soldier renowned for killing Nazis. While he’s hardly known in the United States, fans of foreign cinema may want to give these Til Schweiger movies a try.

25. Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door – A German crime comedy about two terminally ill men who steal a car with mob money in the trunk and head to see the ocean. Naturally, the mob comes looking for the money.
