50 Films Starring Cast and Crew of Angels & Demons

Angels & Demons is now playing across the nation, and it’s sure to be a box office smash. For those of you who leave the theatre wanting more, I’ve compiled a list of 50 films starring the Angels & Demons movie cast. Each entry also includes a handy link to a blog where you can read even more on the subject. When it comes to getting your Angels & Demons fix, you’ll be hard-pressed to beat this list.

Ron Howard Films

6. The Shootist – Ron Howard the actor starred in this John Wayne film about a legendary gunfighter dying of cancer. One of the greatest westerns ever made.
7. Willow – An early Val Kilmer film set in a land of sword and sorcery. One site details how the film predicted the swine flu outbreak.
8. Night Shift – This Ron Howard-directed film gets a mention as part of one blogger’s queue on Netflix.

14. A League of Their Own – As a washed-up baseball player coaching in a women’s league, Hanks utters the immortal line, “There’s no crying in baseball.”
15. Cast Away – Stranded on a deserted island, Chuck Noland (Hanks) must survive in order to one day be reunited with his true love.
16. Philadelphia – A touching film in which Hanks plays a lawyer ostracized after he’s diagnosed with AIDS.
17. Saving Private Ryan – Steven Spielberg directs this epic WWII movie about a squad’s efforts to locate one soldier and return him home. Stars Tom Hanks, Ed Burns, Vin Diesel, Barry Pepper and many more.
18. Big – A kid magically grows up and realizes that it’s better to be young.
19. Forrest Gump – The story of a simple man with a good heart. Manages to be both funny and touching at the same time. Introduced the world to Gary Sinise so he could go on to star in a CSI spin-off.
20. The Green Mile – Based on a story by Stephen King, this movie features Hanks as a death row guard with a very special prisoner.

Ewan McGregor Films

21. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace – McGregor stars as Obi-Wan Kenobi is this second series of Star Wars films.
22. Trainspotting – A group of drug users try to get through day-to-day life in Edinburgh. A chilling look at drug addiction.
23. Emma – One of the many successful adaptations of a Jane Austen novel.
24. Moulin Rouge! – An inventive romantic musical starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman.
25. Black Hawk Down – An action-packed war film starring McGregor, Eric Bana, Tom Sizemore, Orlando Bloom and many more.
26. Stormbreaker – Based on a best-selling novel about a teenage spy, the film also stars Bill Nighy and Mickey Rourke.
27. The Island – Scarlett Johansson also stars in this sci-fi thriller set in 2019.
28. Big Fish – A son returns home to visit his dying father and comes to realize what an exceptional man he was.
29. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith – The final entry of the Star Wars franchise. Fans finally get to see Anakin’s long-awaited transformation into the evil Darth Vader.
30. Down with Love – McGregor and Renee Zellweger trade barbs and romantic glances in this throwback romantic comedy.

Stellan Skarsgard Films

31. Deep Blue Sea – A killer shark hunts down the likes of Thomas Jane, Samuel L. Jackson and LL Cool J.
32. King Arthur – Featuring Clive Owen as the legendary King Arthur and Stellan Skarsgard as a villainous barbarian.
33. Exorcist: The Beginning – This movie shows us how the terrifying legend of the Exorcist all began.
34. The Glass House – A thriller featuring Skarsgard and Diane Lane trying to kill Leelee Sobieski for her inheritance.
35. Ronin – An exciting action movie filled with international mercenaries and Robert De Niro. Great car chase sequences.
36. Beowulf & Grendel – A superb retelling of the Beowulf legend, starring Gerard Butler.
37. The Hunt for Red October – A Russian submarine commander seeks to defect, and it’s up to Alec Baldwin to help him.
38. Good Will Hunting – An angry young man finds direction with the help of a kindly professor. A breakout role for Matt Damon.
39. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End – The final installment (so far) of the box office blockbuster starring Johnny Depp.
40. Mamma Mia! – A feel-good musical starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.

Armin Mueller-Stahl Films

41. Shine – The touching story of a brilliant pianist who suffers a mental breakdown and spends years in various institutions.
42. 12 Angry Men – Twelve men must sit in deliberation following a trial. Also starring George C. Scott.
43. The Game – A wealthy man becomes the center of a bizarre game which may prove fatal. Stars Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.
44. Jakob the Liar – Robin Williams portrays a Jewish shop keeper who pretends to have a secret radio in order to spread hope throughout a ghetto.
45. Mission to Mars – Following problems during the first manned mission to Mars, a rescue party is sent. Stars Tim Robbins, Don Cheadle and Gary Sinise.

Ayelet Zurer Films

46. Munich – Following the massacre of Israeli athletes at the German Olympics, a group of operatives are sent around the glove to exact revenge.
47. Lightbulb – An interesting film about an inventor of gadgets and his ever-supportive wife.
48. Adam Resurrected – Jeff Goldblum plays a former cabaret singer who’s committed to a Tel Aviv asylum for survivors of the Holocaust.
49. Fugitive Pieces – The story of a Jewish boy escaping from the Nazis, and his later life as a poet.
50. Vantage Point – Told from multiple points of view, Vantage Point revolves around a plot to kill the U.S. President during a visit to Spain.
