Am currently trying to find the name of a vampire movie I saw several years ago. All I can remember of the basic plot is a young woman who was raised within a secret society from a young age, and her best friend/mentor/teacher is also a member and seemingly wants a romantic relationship with her, but she only wants to be friends with him. I think his (the character) name is Alex or Alan. She does not know that the society is an ancient paranormal society until she is grown. She is “turned” by the vampire she and Alex/Alan have been hunting after falling in love with him. The final scene of the movie is this:She and (Alan/Alex) are in the castle that is the headquarters for the society, they are talking and the vampire comes to the door. Alan/Alex? turns to the girl and tells her “I will let you go (for now), but if (when) I see you again I will have to kill you.” or something to that effect. The two vampires turn and go out either a window or a door to a blood red dusk and lots of big city lights. The music that is playing is a semi-hard rock song, but I can’t even tell you any of the lyrics to it. It seems the story is set all in Europe. England or France possibly. I know this is not much to go on, but am hoping someone can help me out. Also, it is a movie that I know I watched and was probably released early 2000′s or late 1990′s. Thanks!

I realize the last comment was over a year ago but I thought I’d add some thoughts.

80s vampire flick filmed in Pittsburgh – Innocent Blood. Very interesting stuff.

Lifeforce. A sci-fi vampire movie explaining vampire legends originating from an alien life form. Sounds hokey, but it is really interesting stuff.

Haven’t seen 30 Days of Night, but I remember first hearing about the premise when the comic book was coming out and was happy someone finally addressed the northern pole during winter with no sun. Perfect place to be a vampire.

Saw Twilight. Not a fan, but I don’t hate it. I’d rather see the TV version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer find it’s way onto the silver screen.

Finally, I’m on a hunt to find out about an old vampire movie I saw a long time ago. I want to say it was form the 70s. The only scene I remember is (I think) the last one, where some guy goes to retrieve his girl from a vampire’s lair. He uses a cross to hold vampires back as he goes in to get her. They finally back away until their safe behind a door and the boy slides the cross under the crack in the door to keep them away. Then he turns to her, smiling. And she reveals she has fangs and lunges toward the screen. The end (I think). I never knew the title of the movie and I would like to hunt it down someday.

I just watched the new Twilight movie. It was amazing. My brother already downloaded it. I wanna go watch it again.

And those are about the only good ones i have seen does any one know a vamp movie where the vampires win, or you know don’t get killed.

First, great blog love the list and I will check out a few of them. Second, the Twilight series discussion, personally I’m more of a fan of the book, but don’t get me wrong I love the movies too, and yes Twilight is classified as a vampire movie it is just geared towards an younger audience. I have to say that my all time favorite vampire movie would have to be John Carpenter’s vampires just the right amount of gore, action, and vamps.

Greetings, I was looking for a few vampire movies and I am hoping you all can help me find them.

The first one is about some people who are being chased by vampires and/or other creatures. One of the only ways they have of protecting themselves is by using some of the blood in a flask. The blood was once the blood of Jesus, and has since been refilled by the one who carries the flask. This person hunts vampires and protects people. Before they die they refill the flask with their own blood. Thats all I can really remember about the movie but I know I loved it.

Second, I am also looking for a vampire series. Mostly just the first two of the movies. The take places in several places, but a large chunk of them take place in Transylvania in a large castle. The vampire king (self proclaimed if I remember right) ends up taking women from the surrounding towns as his wives and so on. One of the women is from the USA on a summer trip with her boyfriend (I believe) and he ends up rescuing her. But not until after she is turned into a vampire. I remember there being a lot of claymation for sections of the movie involving the vampires little minions and a large diamond being used as a blood gem of sorts. I can’t seem to find this series on google and was hoping you guys can help me find out what it is.

I’m trying to find a vampire movie I saw 25 years ago…I’ve been searching for it for years. I thought it was in black and white, but now think it may have just been the tv I saw it on. I remember it had a carnival setting (it’s not “Carnival of Souls”) and an exhibit where people walked through a tent with mirrors on both sides…like a long hall. Vampires were in the mirrors and pulled people in.
This movie scared the crap out of me when I was 10 and I’d love to find it again. Please Help.
