If you’re a fan of the Batman franchise (and who isn’t?), you’ll be interested in the following rumor. There’s talk that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Brick, (500) Days of Summer) is currently in talks to play The Riddler in the next big-screen adventure of The Caped Crusader. While this is officially being denied, it would reunite the talented young actor with Inception director Christopher Nolan. Personally, I hope it comes to pass, as Gordon-Levitt has more than paid his dues on the indie circuit.

Splatter Sisters is an upcoming horror flick that features real-life couple Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood. It’s been hyped as falling into the genre of “Skinemax cinema,” but details have otherwise been slim to this point. Well, producer Edward R. Pressman recently spoke to MTV, and he described the plot as follows: “It’s about two 18 year old beautiful drifter girls who go on a murderous rampage across California, killing scores of teenage boys. And they’re under mind control by the leader of this death metal band, this underground death metal band.” I’m assuming Manson will play the leader of the death metal band and not the other teenage girl. Then again…

If you ever saw Hudson Hawk, you probably said to yourself, “Boy, that Danny Aiello sure can sing.” Well, now you can enjoy his dulcet tones in an all-new album entitled Live from Atlantic City. More details are available at the official Danny Aiello website, but one critic has already called it “a dreamy reverie of musical storytelling with enough drama to rival the great Russian authors, yet with a beat you can dance to and with the brevity of a poet and the wit of a comedian.” You know, I always thought the thing that was really holding Tolstoy back was an infectious beat.

Thanks in part to subpar 3D effects, the reviews of Clash of the Titans weren’t kind. But that didn’t keep it from making a ton of cash at the box office, and Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are already thinking about a sequel. The studio is reportedly meeting with directors, and don’t be surprised if you see the further adventures of Perseus at you local cinema within the next few years. As of this writing, the top candidate to helm the picture is Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning).

It looks as though another film will be getting the remake treatment. This time it’s Arthur, the story of a drunken socialite–originally played by Dudley Moore–who’s supposed to marry a member of high society but ends up falling for someone much lower on the social ladder (Liza Minelli). Russell Brand of Get Him to the Greek will be starring as Arthur, while Jennifer Garner will co-star as the upper-crust love interest. Greta Gerwig will take on the Minelli role, and Nick Nolte is reportedly in negotiations to appear as Garner’s deeply religious father.

When the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film hits theaters, expect to see plenty of Geoffrey Rush. The actor will reprise his role as Captain Hector Barbossa and once again match wits with Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow. Most of the cast, including Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, will not return.

If you were a fan of the deformed and murderous Victor Crowley from Hatchet, then you’re in luck. Hatchet II will be getting its debut at Film 4’s FrightFest 2010, held on August 26th. Kane Hodder will reprise his role as Crowley, and the film will also star Danielle Harris and Tony Todd.

Breaking Dawn, the final film in the Twilight franchise, will be broken into two films. Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) will direct, and the first of the two-parter will open on November 18th, 2011. The second film will open on a date yet to be determined. And don’t forget about the third film in the series, Eclipse, which opens in the U.S. on June 30th.

Angelina Jolie and her snake were one of the best parts of Alexander, and it sounds as though she may playing another antiquated queen in the near future. Producer Scott Rudin has purchased the rights to a bio called Cleopatra: A Life, and he’s said to be setting up a project “for and with Jolie.” While it’s far from being definite, one glance at the picture above should indicate that Jolie’s certainly got the looks to pull off the role formerly filled by silver screen beauties like Elizabeth Taylor.

With MGM suffering from financial problems, the remake of Red Dawn has been put on the shelf for an indefinite period of time. The film is finished and was scheduled for a November release, but it looks as though fans will have to wait a little longer to shout “Wolverines!” at the top of their lungs.

Fans of anime and the TV series Supernatural should be positively giddy, as it’s been announced that an three-volume animated version will be available beginning in January of 2011. Following the adventures of monster-hunting siblings Sam and Dean Winchester, the anime series will be co-directed by Atsuko Ishizuka (Aoi Bungaku) and Shigeyuki Miya (Buzzer Beater, Lupin III: Green vs. Red). There will be some original episodes, but anime remakes of shows from the first two seasons will also be added to the mix.

Transformers 3 will be in 3D (big surprise), and the plot revolves around a space race between America and Russia. The villain has also been revealed as Shockwave, although the most sinister part of the film will no doubt be the script and herky-jerky action sequences.

WHOA dude… chill out. I really love this movie and I’m up in the air as to whether or not it was reality or a dream at the end. I’m not out to PROVE anything. But really…I’m pretty sure they’re wearing the SAME clothe and have the SAME haircuts. Unless you have stills from the movie to prove otherwise..
