The trailer for The Road, an adaptation of the 2006 Cormac McCarthy novel has just been released, and it looks like a real winner. The film stars Viggo Mortensen, and it’s about The Man and The Boy (father and son) traveling across the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the United States. Their daily lives consist of scavenging for food and trying to avoid roaming bands of cannibals. Scheduled for an October 16th, 2009 release, the film also stars Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Boy), Charlize Theron (The Wife), Michael K. Williams, Guy Pearce and Robert Duvall.
