A group of middle-aged English women spice up their organization's yearly calendar to raise money for the local hospital. Based on the true story.

An uplifting comedy with some light drama thrown in. This is a high quality film all the way around but that isn’t enough to make the film remarkable or particularly memorable. It is very "safe" by today's standards and is not going to knock an audience off its feet. But Calendar Girls should be enough to elicit many smiles and tug at the heartstrings a bit.
