Aniston
plays a 30-year-old retail clerk whose
lifeless marriage and dead end job
land her in the arms of a younger co-worker.
This starts off a house of cards that
quickly begins to plague her life.
Nicely
acted and superbly written, The
Good Girl is a simple but entertaining little
film. Aniston, looking very un-Rachel-like,
does a nice job in a film where she's
in every scene. The script and direction
work really nicely together; even through
the movie's most volatile situations
there is a calmness about it that reflects
the small town Texas scenery. Zooey
Deschanel supplies many laughs as one
of Aniston's jaded co-workers.
The
Good Girl might not be the most exciting
or even memorable picture, but it certainly
is among the better movies of the year.

by Miguel Arteta.
