Three
childhood friends reunite when the
female of the group returns to New
York City on a business trip. Both
her friends have become men of the
cloth; one a priest, the other a rabbi.
She is further surprised to find her
workaholic attitude replaced by a longing
for love.
Although
the script is largely formulated, there's
an air of originality here when considering
the subject matter of local religious
leaders smitten by an attractive friend.
Jenna Elfman is certainly not the most
gifted of young actresses in Hollywood,
but her costars carry her well throughout.
There's also more than a couple good
laughs in this feel good comedy.
Directed
by Edward Norton.
DVD
is highly recommended, many of the
deleted scenes are gems.
