Often-absent,
divorced father (Carrey) is a lawyer
who basically lies for a living. His
son, Max makes a birthday wish that
his father cannot lie for one day.
Well, the wish comes true and this
awkward situation proves hilarious
for our confused lawyer. And being
honest just might save the relationship
between father son.
There's
a lot funny here and it amounts to
one pretty good film too. There's nothing
groundbreaking in the script but most
of the jokes are set up well and come
at a rapid pace. Dispite spatterings
of the low-brow humor you might expect,
it is pretty much acceptable for the
whole family.
