The rise and fall of a Midwest mobster set out to Las Vegas to run a casino.

Although similar to Goodfellas in most respects, the characters are all so interesting that it really doesn't bother you. Even at 179 minutes this movie never seems too long. The story sets a pace early on and keeps it up. DeNiro, Stone and Pesci are wonderful together. Casino is one of the best films of the year and a must for any mob fan.

Sharon Stone picked up an Oscar for her fine performance as DeNiro's troubled wife.
