Extremely popular film with a patriotic theme. This film has been praised as genius and stopped on as silly. It's actually somewhere in-between. It often reaches but its good nature keeps it acceptable and enjoyable. The movie certainly is interesting, with many great performances - but Best Picture of the year? Perhaps voters didn't see The Shawshank Redemption.
