Cheap Blu-ray Movies

If you’re looking for cheap Blu-ray movies, Amazon is the place to visit. They’re running a special on Blu-ray movies right now, with 82 being offered for under $9.99. So for less than what you spend on a night out at the movies, you can own a Blu-ray disc to watch as many times as you want. Plus, you won’t have to put up with people talking behind you or kids sending endless texts during the show (unless they’re your own).

Amazon really is king when it comes to offering cheap Blu-ray movies. Their low prices can’t be beat, and your selections will be delivered right to your door by a brown-clad UPS driver. We do get a commission for sending you there, but I was an Amazon customer long before I started singing their praises online.

The Dark Knight – In the most successful film of the Batman franchise, Christian Bale once again dons his cowl to fight crime in Gotham City. This time around, his opponent is the Joker (Heath Ledger), a psychopath intent on causing as much chaos as possible.

Dark City – In a city where the sun never shines and the population is manipulated from behind the scenes by the mysterious Strangers, one man (Rufus Sewell) rises up to fight for his memories and the natural order. Co-starring Keifer Sutherland and Jennifer Connelly.

We Were Soldiers – Mel Gibson stars as Lieutenant Colonel Hal Moore, the U.S. commanding officer during the Battle of Ia Drang, the first major engagement between American and Vietnamese forces. Sam Elliott gives a solid performance as Sergeant Major Basil L. Plumley, a no-nonsense veteran of numerous wars.

Logan’s Run – In a world where everyone must die at the age of thirty, Logan (Michael York) infiltrates an underground group only to find himself pursued by the very government he works for. Look for Farrah Fawcett in a small role.

Eyes Wide Shut – When his wife (Nicole Kidman) admits to considering an affair, a wealthy doctor (Tom Cruise) goes on an erotic journey through the city. The masked orgy scene is not to be missed. Stanley Kubrick’s last film, he died before it could be completed.

Reservoir Dogs – Quentin Tarantino made his directorial debut in this tale of a robbery gone horrible wrong. Meeting up at a warehouse afterwards, the criminals try to discover if there’s a rat in their midst. There is. Starring Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, and Steve Buscemi.

The Bucket List – Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson play two terminally ill men who decide to make a wish list and check off the items before death comes calling.

Planet Terror – The Robert Rodriguez half of the Grindhouse double feature, Planet Terror deals with a toxic chemical that gets into the air and creates a legion of zombie-like creatures. Now it’s up to a ragtag group of survivors–including a stripper with one leg–to stop their rampage. Starring Rose McGowan, Josh Brolin, Bruce Willis, and Freddy Rodriguez.

Verdi: La Traviata – A rousing performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera, La Traviata.

The Postman – In a post-apocalyptic landscape, a Shakespeare-quoting traveler (Kevin Costner) dodges militia forces and unwittingly brings hope to the surviving population. Will Patton is a standout as the cruel military leader who once sold copy machines.

And in addition to the cheap Blu-ray movies listed above, you can also find the following on Amazon for less than $9.99. This is only a sampling, however, as the actual total numbers 82. Don’t delay, as these generous sale prices won’t last forever.
