Paz Vega – Big Screen Beauties
From time to time, I feel the need to profile especially lovely and talented ladies in the movie industry. I like to call this feature Big Screen Beauties, and our very first subject is none other than Spanish actress Paz Vega.
Paz Campos Trigo (later known as Paz Vega) was born on January 2nd, 1976 in Seville, Andalucia, Spain. Her father was a retired bullfighter and her mother was a housewife. She developed the acting bug at age 15, and she later studied theatre and journalism until the age of 20.
She made her television debut on the Spanish series Menudo es mi padre, and her first film was Mas alla del jardin. Her breakout role came in 1999 with 7 Vidas, a Spanish version of the hit series Friends. From there, she received acting roles opposite Adam Sandler (Spanglish) and Morgan Freeman (10 Items or Less). These last two roles boosted her international appeal, and she’s currently working on a number of English-language projects (as well as doing some modeling).
Keep an eye on Paz Vega, as I’m predicting you’ll see her around for many years to come.
