Lost Auction – Lost Items for Sale
If you’re a fan of the television series Lost, get ready for a one-of-a-kind Lost auction. That’s right, you’ll be able to find all manner of Lost items for sale at the Barker Hangar (located at the Santa Monica Airport) in Santa Monica, California on August 21st (Saturday) and 22nd (Sunday). Over 1000 set pieces, props and costumes will be up for grabs, including wreckage from Oceanic Flight 815 and the actual DHARMA Van. The Lost auction will be held by Profiles in History, the largest auctioneer of Hollywood merchandise on the planet.
Each day, bidding will begin at 1pm PDT (that’s 3pm Central and 4pm Eastern), and bids can be placed in person, live on the Internet at one of two sites, by phone, fax, or snail mail. For detailed directions to the event, as well as additional information and a complete catalog of Lost items for sale, head to the official site.
The Emmy-winning show ran for six seasons and followed the adventures of a group of survivors who crashed on a seemingly deserted island (yeah, right). As the seasons rolled on, fans were thrilled by instances of time travel, ageless island guardians, and even a stray polar bear or two. And who could forget the love triangle between Sawyer, Jack, and the gorgeous Kate?
Profiles in History was founded in 1985, and since that time they’ve auctioned off an impressive list of Hollywood memorabilia. Some of their previously auctioned items include:
- Cowardly Lion costume from The Wizard of Oz ($805,000)
- Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber ($240,000)
- Superman costume worn by George Reeves ($126,500)
- Alien suit from Alien ($126,500)
- Command chair from the U.S.S. Enterprise ($304,750)

- Wicked Witch hat from The Wizard of Oz ($230,000)
- Superman costume worn by Christopher Reeves in Superman: The Movie ($115,000)
- C-3PO’s helmet ($120,000)
But enough about past auctions. Let’s take a look at some of the amazing Lost memorabilia that’s up for bid. Remember, the high bid will take each of these items home, so break open the piggy bank or go clean out your life savings.
