Sexy Halloween Costumes – Movie Halloween Costumes

Sexy Halloween costumes are useless most of the year, but they’re a great way to stand out when Samhain rolls around. Most people just dig around in their closet and patch something together, but the following movie Halloween costumes will show off your love of cinema and sense of style. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to look like one of the young ladies modeling the outfits, either.

This list of sexy Halloween costumes is dedicated to the female gender, but be sure to stay tuned to Only Good Movies as the end of October draws near. We’ll be profiling plenty of other movie Halloween cotumes, including options for our male reader. And since some of us may be carrying around a few extra pounds, I’ll make certain to include options that feature lots of baggy material and form-concealing capes.

Neytiri from Avatar – You’d better be in great shape if you’re going to show up at the annual Halloween party dressed like the female protagonist from Avatar. Still, there’s little doubt that it falls into the category of sexy Halloween costumes, and it’s a great way to ensure that all eyes in the room are drawn to you. Face make-up would help complete the look, although the model above looks more like a hot corpse than anything else.

Lilah from Jonah Hex – While the movie may have sucked, this costume from Jonah Hex will turn plenty of heads. After all, what red-blooded male at a Halloween party isn’t going to be drawn to a woman dressed up like an Old West prostitute?

Princess Leia slave costume from Return of the Jedi – After all these years, men still go nuts for the sexy outfit worn by Carrie Fisher during her stay with the rotund Jabba the Hut. If you’ve got the body for it, you might also consider coating yourself in baby oil (just like the model above).

Black Widow from Iron Man 2 – Scarlett Johansson filled out this leather jumpsuit quite nicely in Iron Man 2, and it’s certainly one of the more eye-catching movie Halloween costumes on this list. Dark hair (especially red) and an ample bosom are also a major plus if you decide to go with this look. You’ll have to beat the fanboys away with a stick.

Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz – Men love to look at sexy Halloween costumes and fantasize, while women like to feel pretty and/or desired. This Dorothy costume should satisfy both genders. While meant to be sweet and innocent, there’s just something about it that drives men wild, although the entire effect is lost without a pair of bright red shoes. The basket is a nice touch, although I wouldn’t recommend trying to carry a real dog in it throughout your Halloween party.

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader from ??? – I realize that this article is supposed to look at some of the best movie Halloween costumes, but I couldn’t resist putting this one on the list. The most famous cheerleaders in all of professional sports, nobody can wear a pair of white boots and short shorts like a member of the Dallas Cowboys squad. The pom-poms will be a pain in the ass to keep up with all night, but they do make a great prop (at least in the early stages of the party, before everyone gets tipsy and stops caring).

Dark Heart Queen from Alice in Wonderland (sort of) – Nowhere in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland does this sexy Halloween costume appear, but it’s definitely inspired by the summer blockbuster. That tiny hat would normally look silly as hell, but somehow the smoking hot blonde above manages to pull it off.

Marilyn Monroe from The Seven Year Itch – When it comes to cinematic sensuality, it’s hard to beat the scene in The Seven Year Itch when Marilyn Monroe’s skirt is blown up by a subway train passing underground. That’s going to be hard to duplicate at a Halloween party, but the blonde hair and low-cut bustline should help compensate. Talking in an obnoxious-if-you-weren’t-sexy voice should help complete the ensemble.

Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – While the young princess from the animated Disney version dressed a little more conservatively, this is exactly how she looks in the fantasy land inside my head. Oh, and the dwarfs are all played by Ron Jeremy.

Princess Leia from Star Wars – Honest to goodness, I’m not a Star Wars geek. I’ve only included two Princess Leia outifts on this list because they remain some of the sexiest movie Halloween costumes on the market. The version shown above gets a big boost by showing off a lot more leg than Carrie Fisher’s original costume. I was never a big fan of the goofy hairstyle, but I’m willing to make a few compromises here and there.

When it’s time to put something together for all the parties you’re invited to, I hope this list of sexy Halloween costumes will provide a little inspiration. The above images were all taken from the same website (, so tracking them down shouldn’t be difficult.

If you decide to buy one of these outfits, go ahead and take a picture of yourself and send it to us at onlygoodmovies[at]gmail[dot]com. We’ll post it on our site, and maybe we’ll even give out a prize for the best Halloween costume. Anyone interested in a copy of Uwe Boll’s Postal?
