Tales from the Crypt Box Set

• “None but the Lonely Heart” – Treat Williams plays a seedy con man who likes to marry elderly women for their money. In true Tales from the Crypt fashion, he pays a heavy price for his actions. Tom Hanks makes a cameo, and Sugar Ray Leonard co-stars.
• “This’ll Kill Ya” – When a scientist (Dylan McDermott) gets injected with an experimental formula, he begins to believe the worst about his co-workers. Also starring Sonia Braga and Cleavon Little.
• “On a Deadman’s Chest” – William Friedkin directs this tale of a rock star who gets a tattoo with a mind of its own. Starring Tia Carrere, Heavy D, and Gregg Allman.
• “Séance” – When two con artists (Cathy Moriarty and Ben Cross) try to scam a widow by holding a fake séance, they experience revenge from beyond the grave.

• “Maniac at Large” – Blythe Danner plays a librarian who becomes convinced that she’s the next victim of a serial killer. Directed by John Frankenheimer, and co-starring rocker Adam Ant.
• “Split Personality” – Joe Pesci is a con man who tries to steal the inheritance of a pair of reclusive twin sisters. Joel Silver directs, and the episode co-stars Burt Young and Joe Pantoliano.
• “Strung Along” – Donald O’Connor stars as a puppeteer who gets a chance to revive his act with the help of a modern-day animatronic puppeteer (Zach Galligan). This does not bode well for his young and completely bitchy wife.
• “Werewolf Concerto” – The guests at an isolated hotel begin to suspect that one of their number is a werewolf. Suspects include Dennis Farina, Timothy Dalton, Beverly D’Angelo, and Reginald VelJohnson.
• “Curiosity Killed” – An elderly man (Kevin McCarthy) finds a youth potion but tries to keep the secret from his mean-spirited wife (Margot Kidder).

Tales from the Crypt – Season Five (1993)

• “Death of Some Salesmen” – Ed Begley Jr. stars as a con man who tries to trick a hillbilly family (all played by Tim Curry) into buying cemetery plots that don’t exist. Big mistake. Co-starring Yvonne DeCarlo.
• “As Ye Sow” – After hiring a detective (Sam Waterston) to spy on his wife (Patsy Kensit), a jealous husband becomes convinced that she’s having an affair with a priest. Co-starring Adam West and directed by Kyle MacLachlan.
• “Forever Ambergris” – Roger Daltrey is a combat photographer who’s seen better days. He plots to kill an up-and-coming rival (Steve Buscemi) and his wife.
• “Food for Thought” – A freakshow clown and part-time cook (Ernie Hudson) goes crazy when he learns how to read minds and finds out his wife (Joan Chen) is in love with a co-worker.
• “People Who Live in Brass Hearses” – A pair of brothers (Bill Paxton and Brad Dourif) attempt to get revenge on an ice cream truck driver (Michael Lerner). Directed by Russell Mulcahy.

• “The Bribe” – When he goes to look at a strip club, a fire inspector (Terry O’Quinn) receives a strange bribe from the owner (Esai Morales). Benicio del Toro has a small part.
• “The Pit” – Two wives force a pair of martial artists (Stoney Jackson and Mark Dacascos) to fight to the death.
• “The Assassin” – When they find evidence that her husband is a rogue member of the CIA, a team of killers is dispatched to the home of a housewife (Shelley Hack). Co-starring Chelsea Field and Corey Feldman.
• “Staired in Horror” – A fugitive (D.B. Sweeney) takes refuge in the cursed house of a woman (Rachel Ticotin). Co-starring R. Lee Ermey.

• “Cold War” – Ewan McGregor stars as one half of a criminal couple who run afoul of a man far worse than either one of them.
• “Kidnapper” – After taking in a pregnant homeless woman, a man (Steve Coogan) seeks to get rid of the newborn child.
• “Report from the Grave” – A man tries to resurrect his lost love with the help of a machine that can collect thoughts from the dead.
• “Smoke Wrings” – Daniel Craig stars as a man who’s hired onto the staff of an advertising agency but has secret motives.
