2010 MTV Movie Awards – Winners and Highlights

Monday, June 7, 2010 at 12:42 pm

Every year round this time, the MTV Movie Awards are held, and 2010 wasn’t any different. Aziz Ansari performed the hosting duties, and the show was filled with wacky goings-on, both spontaneous and carefully planned to at least appear spontaneous. While the suits and producers of the network come up with the nominations, the general public determines the winners by voting online. And since Twilight: New Moon was nominated in numerous categories, you can already get a sense of where this is heading. Never underestimate the power of a tween with a cellphone.

I’ll start things off by listing the nominees and winners for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. Afterwards, I’ll detail a few of the most memorable moments from the show, including a noted Scientologist getting jiggy with it, and the yearly girl-on-girl liplock.
